In the Community: Watersprings Ranch

Watersprings Ranch is a non-profit organization in Texarkana, Arkansas, that helps needy children. Founded in 1989 by David and Carla Whatley, the goal of the Ranch is to bring children together and help them support each other, to understand they are loved, not only by those around them but by God.

Watersprings Ranch houses almost 50 children at a time on their land. They operate as a Christian-based residential group home that extends their helping hands to children of all backgrounds. Their largest legacy resides in building safe, educational, and happy homes for children who have not had that in their past. Watersprings Ranch provides extracurricular activities, education, therapy services, and special needs services for all children in the program who need them. The goal is to provide them with a normal childhood. More than anything, the kids need to be kids, and that’s the message of the Watersprings Ranch philosophy. They are privately funded, using donations from those in the community to build a foundation for the kids. Ledwell employees, along with many other community leaders, have donated time, resources, and more to the children of this facility.

Take Advantage of Section 179

One of the most important things for your business is to manage finances in a smart way. The American government has made this easier today than ever for businesses like yours. Section 179 is an important right off deduction on equipment that all businesses who spend under $3,500,000 on equipment should take advantage of. This incentive gives your company a chance to deduct the full price of any qualifying new or used equipment or software bought during the given tax year. You can write off as much as $1,000,000 in qualifying purchases!

The Section 179 website offers various tools and educational materials for you to figure and understand the tax code. One of these useful tools is their Section 179 calculator. With this, you can put your finances for the year into the correct boxes and determine how much money your business can save for the year!

Ledwell offers a variety of complying equipment. Some great choices you might find to be a part of our inventory. For example, Ledwell currently has a 2016 model Freightliner M2 Crew Cab chassis that is still like new. This cab has no previous owners and is offered with a full warranty! You can gain a sturdy, peak condition piece of equipment at a lower cost and possibly even less than that with the Section 179 tax code.

To learn more about how Section 179 works, visit their online government website and find out if you and your business qualify today!

Solar Ramp: Using Nature’s Resources

Efficiency and durability are just two of the many things to consider when loading heavy-duty equipment. To ensure that you get both, consider Ledwell’s Solar Ramp! Not only is it dependable in helping you to get your job done, but it can also prove to be a very helpful piece of equipment.

Solar energy powers a battery that powers a motor allowing the ramp to move to the desired height in roughly thirty seconds with a push of a button. The battery will stay powered for numerous uses after a full charge allowing use even when the sun is nowhere to be found. Ledwell’s Solar Ramp is still completely customizable so that the customer gets what they want, how they want it. The Solar Ramp is also available on new equipment or as a retrofit kit.

Ledwell’s Sales and Engineering Teams will be happy to assist you in selecting your ramp to accommodate your location’s needs by adding renewable-energy features.

See you at WJTA

Ledwell’s next big event is the Water Jet Technology Association Expo (WJTA) from November 1st through the 2nd. This event will be hosted at Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. In visiting this trade show, Ledwell is taking part in the chance to join various companies and organizations from within and in association with the rising hydro-blasting, vacuum truck, industrial cleaning and water jet industries.

In support of our vacuum community, Ledwell will be hosting a booth, number 530, where we’ll show our newly designed Blower Vac Plus (BVP) Unit. This vacuum was designed by Ledwell engineers for the vacuum professional that needs compact equipment, easier maintenance, and a coded tank. This is the only tank from Ledwell that comes standard coded, but it packs the same power as the rest and offers you the ability to haul hazardous materials. Ledwell will be working alongside members of our trusted partner, Vacuum Truck Rentals.

The vacuum industry creates safety and security for those in various communities. Their work encompasses both ensuring that other industries get their jobs done and removing toxic waste and materials from areas that would otherwise be harmful to individuals. This is why Ledwell is concerned with offering the best value and most reliable vacuum units on the market. Our design is standard, but completely customizable so that you can be sure that, whatever the job may be, it will be done in a manner appropriate and secure.

While early registration is preferred for this show, it is optional to arrive as a walk-in. You don’t have to be a member of the WJTA organization to enjoy this experience. The goal of this event is connecting all members of this field and work to create a safer, more technologically driven realm of operation.

To show your support, or just see us in action, come stop by booth 530 and learn more. This event will host live demonstrations, an opportunity for networking, a learning experience with new industry information, and the New Orleans Experience! The weather is expected to be nice, so get out, take pictures, and visit our social media sites to show us how you celebrated your industry!
