Bobby Krewson

Ledwell Employee Spotlight - May 2019

Bobby works in Ledwell’s Shipping Department, and has since his first day back in 2007. He’s one of the very dependable guys that gets your Ledwell parts and products to you on time. He prides himself in punctuality – a very important trait to have here at Ledwell. He understands that your time is very important and loves being able to help any way he can. Bobby always has a happy demeanor and will always greet you with big smile, no matter the day. He’s always a “yes sir, no sir” kind of guy and will get the job done as quickly as possible.

In his spare time, Bobby loves riding four-wheelers and spending time with his family. When he isn’t doing that, he’s watching his favorite show – NCIS. Bobby is a really great guy, and great fit for our team. We’re lucky to have you, Bobby!

Tony Murphy

Ledwell Employee Spotlight -April 2019

Tony Murphy has been here for 14 years, working in Ledwell’s Maintenance Department. He is a very reliable employee and gets the job done, no matter the difficulty and always with a smile. If you ask him how he’s doing, he always replies with “blessed by the best, trying not to be stressed by the rest!” He is a very hardworking employee with a positive can-do attitude. He tries to fit everyone in and always maintains an efficient schedule so that everyone gets their jobs done.

His most memorable and favorite job here at Ledwell was building a house for a local non-profit, that provides homes from children in need, Watersprings Ranch. He enjoys helping people. He has been doing maintenance and other carpentry type work for a large portion of his life and loves what he does. He has tackled each of his jobs with the intent of making someone else’s day a little brighter.

Tony’s loves spending his spare time with his wife, Gracie, 3 children, and 4 grand-kids in addition to preaching at Redeeming Ministries Church. We are very lucky to have Tony as a part of our Ledwell team. Thanks Tony!

Tony Carillo

Ledwell Employee Spotlight - March 2019

This month, Ledwell would like to give a big round of applause to Tony Carillo, our employee of the month for March! Tony has been with us for 29 years and counting. He’s a ray of sunshine – and that’s saying a lot considering our Texas location! He loves joking with his cohorts. In fact, his personal mantra is “me good,” a phrase he says circulates as an inside joke between himself and the rest of the guys in his shop.

He currently works in our Trailer Shop as a welder, helping develop new techniques and designs to push our equipment to the next level. When asked his fondest career memory, he recalls building Gooseneck Trailers and devising a system for locking and unlocking headboards to the trailers. He’s a part of Ledwell progression and always will be.

Tony has 4 children with his wife of 32 years, and 5 grandchildren. He says that they bring him the most joy in life. He wants to always be a grandfather, because his grandchildren keep him happy – which keeps him going each day!

His can-do attitude, respectful personality, and the pride he has in his work is what has gotten Tony where he is today. Tony has mentioned his affinity for Ledwell, saying “I love when Steve tells me good eye, Tony.” Well, Tony, we couldn’t do it without you and the rest of the our company family behind us every step of the way. Congratulations!

Bill Robinson

Ledwell Employee Spotlight - February 2019

Bill joined Ledwell when he was 18 years old. He spent 20 years building feed trailers before spending the last 12 in the Parts Department. Bill described himself in three words – easy going, impatient, and obsessively compulsive. He is happiest when, “Mamas happy”. When asked if he could switch jobs with any employee at Ledwell his response was, “I don’t know that I’d want anyone else’s job”.

Bill has been happily married for 31 years. He has two daughters, a son, and six grandchildren. He is very active in his personal endeavors. Bill has pastored at three churches, severed in the United States Army Reserves for 10 years, and officiated many high school football games. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing.

Bill’s favorite project to date was building a locomotive feedbody to haul sack feed several years ago. Bill has gained ample knowledge in the feed industry throughout his career at Ledwell. We are grateful to have Bill as a part of the Ledwell team. Thank you Bill for all of your dedicated years of service with us.

Andy Squillante

Ledwell Employee Spotlight - January 2019

Andy Squillante provides outstanding work as a Ledwell engineer and electrical consultant. He brings all types of hydraulic and mechanical skills to the job that he learned from his previous work experience. Andy’s past work as a technical salesman gave him the foundation for the work he does at Ledwell today. At Ledwell, Andy oversees the Electronics Department and helps design many components of your favorite equipment, making sure they all work efficiently and consistently. Some of these items include our severe duty coolers, hydraulic lift systems and our specialized remote controls.

To him, Ledwell means family, integrity, and financial stability. His personal motto is “Every day you wake up unemployed,” because he believes that with every workday you have to prove why you are here. He enjoys all facets of the industrial world and has gained a real appreciation for manufacturing lines. In his spare time, Andy likes collecting antiques, exercising, watching college football, and spending time with his seven grandchildren. All in all, Andy loves to keep busy and make sure that he’s always working toward an end solution!

Mickey Ward

Mickey Ward has been a member of the transportation industry for 40 years and employed as an equipment sales representative at Ledwell for 17. Mickey spiked his connection with Ledwell when he purchased his first truck body in 1978. He is Ledwell’s Oil and Chemical truck body expert. Mickey has overseen hundreds of pieces of equipment shipped all over the world for several major companies. His most memorable sale was when he worked with Mr. Buddy Ledwell on a shipment of twenty trucks to a copper mine in Chile.

Mickey is realistic, outgoing, and motivated, all of which makes him a perfect fit for Ledwell. His family is his top priority and he works very hard to ensure that life is good for them and everyone around him.

Dale Kidd

Ledwell Employee Spotlight - Dale Kidd

Dale helped establish our North Carolina Service Center in Fayetteville, along with the dozen service technicians at the location. He has been with Ledwell since 2008. Dale bought from Ledwell as a mill manager and helped us make our feed haul equipment better as we went along.

Some of Dale’s favorite memories about Ledwell include visiting with Mr. Buddy and enjoying a few meals at his home. Dale and his wife Cecelia, of 38 years, have four children and five grandchildren. During his free time, he enjoys camping and going to the beach with his family.

Thomas Butcher

Ledwell Employee Spotlight - Thomas Butcher

In October of 1993, Thomas Butcher started working at Ledwell in William Griffin’s shop. After a few years, he moved to the Machine Shop running the Saw Department for two years. Thomas has spent most of his time at Ledwell in the Break and Shear Shop. In 2017, Thomas was promoted to shop foreman and oversees six people on day to day projects. Thomas enjoys building different
parts for different units, but says the people he works with and the Ledwell family is the best part of his job. “Building breast cancer ribbons that can be seen around Texarkana,” he said when asked about his favorite project over the years.

Thomas and his wife will celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary this year. They have three children, two boys and a girl. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, really anything outdoors. Thomas tries to spend as much time as he can chasing his kids in their activities and traveling.

Tim Snider

Ledwell Employee Spotlight - Tim Snider

Serving Ledwell for 22 years, Tim Snider started his career working in Brake and Shear and remained there the majority of his time before making his way to the Machine Shop. His current position is the Pattern Torch foreman. His main projects include cutting parts for Feedbody, Hydratail, Vacuum, and many other pieces of equipment.

“I can remember my first day at Ledwell. Mr. Ledwell came to my shop and called me over to him and said ‘Boy you haven’t worked hard today, you aren’t even sweating!’ I loved that man, he was very funny.” Starting at Ledwell when he was 18 years old, Tim has grown up at Ledwell and loves the support and family he has gained working for such a great company.

Tim and his wife of 14 years, Angie, have a daughter Morgan, 13 and a son Talan, 8. They enjoy going camping, fishing and taking weekend trips as a family. “I will always be a kid at heart, so I just love doing things like dressing up for Halloween with my kids,
coaching t-ball, playing video games, and basically anything my kids want to do.”

Frankie Rankin

Ledwell Employee Spotlight - Frankie Rankin

Frankie began working in the Brake and Shear shop in 2000, and is currently over Ledwell’s Trailer Alignment and Tire Shop. His favorite part of his job is helping everyone at the plant, and hopes to be at Ledwell for many years to come. The most memorable part about working at Ledwell were the heart to heart talks Frankie would have with Mr. Ledwell. “Many life lessons were learned from him”

Frankie and his wife Mandy have two children, Cole and Hope. He enjoys fishing and spending time with his family.
