For 23 years, Lupe Segura has brought experience, pride, and a willingness to help wherever he is needed at Ledwell.
Lupe spent 20 years working with hydraulics before moving into his current role, where he builds subassemblies for HydraTail Trucks and Dump tailgates. After years of experience, Lupe says tailgates are easy for him to build, but his knowledge reaches far beyond one job. Throughout his Ledwell career, he has helped with many different projects and goes wherever he is asked.
That willingness to step in is something Lupe’s foreman, Brad Stringer, especially appreciates. Brad says Lupe never takes the attitude that something is not his job. When a hot job needs to get out that day, Lupe does whatever it takes to help get it done. Just as important, Lupe watches the quality of the work around him. If something is not built or welded correctly, he makes sure it is corrected and meets both his standards and Ledwell’s standards.
Lupe is always willing to help young and new employees who may be struggling, including helping coworkers work through communication barriers. His knowledge is invaluable, and he takes the time to show others how to do a job correctly.
Away from work, Lupe enjoys flower gardening and spending time with his family. Lupe and Alicia have been married for 43 years and have three children and five grandchildren.
After more than two decades of building, helping, teaching, and doing what needs to be done, Lupe knows exactly what Ledwell Made means to him: pride.
