Thomas Butcher

Ledwell Employee Spotlight - Thomas Butcher

In October of 1993, Thomas Butcher started working at Ledwell in William Griffin’s shop. After a few years, he moved to the Machine Shop running the Saw Department for two years. Thomas has spent most of his time at Ledwell in the Break and Shear Shop. In 2017, Thomas was promoted to shop foreman and oversees six people on day to day projects. Thomas enjoys building different
parts for different units, but says the people he works with and the Ledwell family is the best part of his job. “Building breast cancer ribbons that can be seen around Texarkana,” he said when asked about his favorite project over the years.

Thomas and his wife will celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary this year. They have three children, two boys and a girl. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, really anything outdoors. Thomas tries to spend as much time as he can chasing his kids in their activities and traveling.

Tim Snider

Ledwell Employee Spotlight - Tim Snider

Serving Ledwell for 22 years, Tim Snider started his career working in Brake and Shear and remained there the majority of his time before making his way to the Machine Shop. His current position is the Pattern Torch foreman. His main projects include cutting parts for Feedbody, Hydratail, Vacuum, and many other pieces of equipment.

“I can remember my first day at Ledwell. Mr. Ledwell came to my shop and called me over to him and said ‘Boy you haven’t worked hard today, you aren’t even sweating!’ I loved that man, he was very funny.” Starting at Ledwell when he was 18 years old, Tim has grown up at Ledwell and loves the support and family he has gained working for such a great company.

Tim and his wife of 14 years, Angie, have a daughter Morgan, 13 and a son Talan, 8. They enjoy going camping, fishing and taking weekend trips as a family. “I will always be a kid at heart, so I just love doing things like dressing up for Halloween with my kids,
coaching t-ball, playing video games, and basically anything my kids want to do.”

Frankie Rankin

Ledwell Employee Spotlight - Frankie Rankin

Frankie began working in the Brake and Shear shop in 2000, and is currently over Ledwell’s Trailer Alignment and Tire Shop. His favorite part of his job is helping everyone at the plant, and hopes to be at Ledwell for many years to come. The most memorable part about working at Ledwell were the heart to heart talks Frankie would have with Mr. Ledwell. “Many life lessons were learned from him”

Frankie and his wife Mandy have two children, Cole and Hope. He enjoys fishing and spending time with his family.

Steve Carter

Ledwell Employee Spotlight - Steve Carter

January 1986 started a new year and a career for Steve Carter. When he started at Ledwell 31 years ago, Steve ran parts to the different shops and parts counter. Currently he is over Shipping and Receiving in the Parts Warehouse. Steve receives anything from a small bolt to a large vacuum pump that comes into the plant. He also ships everything, besides trucks and trailers, all over the United States and overseas. Steve says, “My favorite part of my job, it’s always changing. Shipping always has new forms or rules. When I started every order was handwritten, and now it is all electronic. A lot of things have changed over the years, in shipping and receiving, except one thing, I still enjoy my job.”

Steve and his wife, Tammy, of 30 years have three children. Whitney and her husband Mike live in Oklahoma with their son Brayden and another on the way. Asilyn and her husband, Chris live in South Carolina. Steve and Tammy’s son Hayden lives in Texarkana.

Jason Pond

Ledwell Employee Spotlight

Jason has been with Ledwell for 17 years. He has worked in the Feedbody, Hydraulic, and Truck Shop over the years, and currently works in the Kit Fabrication portion of the Parts Warehouse. Jason’s main focus is fabricating plumbing for Water Trucks, tarp kits for Dump Trucks and welding parts for Vacuum Units. He likes to weld and build new parts every chance he gets. His most memorable project was a Water Truck for Kiewit, Jason said “That truck was a beast!”

Jason and his wife of 17 years, Barbara, have three girls; Haylea, 15, Jaysi, 10, and Bryleigh, 8. He loves to coach softball and watch all of his girls play. Hunting, fishing and having cookouts with family is how Jason spends his time away from work.

Michael Adcock

Ledwell Employee Spotlight - Michael Adcock

This year, Michael Adcock celebrates 20 years at Ledwell. He has worked in the paint department since day one and loves to make something old look new. Michael mainly works on vacuum tanks from taping to blasting and painting to touch-up. “One of my memorable projects was painting Mr. Ledwell’s house,” Michael said.

Michael and his wife, Kandee, have two daughters Brittany and Kara. He enjoys going four wheel riding and hunting together, with his family.
